For the final project, I would like to mimic the work of the photographer Moholy Nagy. His photographs are both captured images and designed images. He isolates photographs he has taken of people and forces them into a different enviornment in which he has created, a world of shapes and lines.
I want to recreate this, however, I would like to steer away from using photographs. Instead, I would like to draw the main subject of the composition. I will then add shapes and lines to the composition, creating a somewhat DaDa undertone to the image. The image will be colored with muted shades, keeping the focus on the subject and the shapes rather than the colors. There will be no text in the image.

final- proposal

for my final i want to mimic Moholy Nagy's photographs. my images will contain a specific subject partnered with geometric shapes and simple lines. I will scan in 3d objects of dolls (super heros) and create the lines and shapes on the computer. I will then create negatives with the images and print the final image in the dark room. if it is necessary for me to detach the final product one step further away from the computer.. i will create t-shirt designs with the final images... printing it on iron on fabric.
